Universidad Del Norte

Universidad Del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia

We spent the week of September 25th in Barranquilla, Colombia, onboarding Universidad Del Norte. The staff were gracious hosts, and their hospitality was remarkable as they introduced us to Colombian culture. Eloise, John, Catrena, and Mario were wonderful to work with, and every day was a new adventure.

Colombia is the first country in South America to embrace the HoloAnatomy® learning platform. Students and faculty alike were excited to learn the basics and jump right in. We learned that the school once received plenty of cadavers for study, but in recent times they only get an occasional body, "when they are lucky." That makes HoloAnatomy a perfect tool for teaching their medical students the fundamentals of human anatomy.

As always, the moment faculty and students put on the HoloLens, the room filled with sounds of amazement!

Everyone did a fantastic job engaging and learning how to master the software, setting up and anchoring pods, creating slideshows, and using the Designer and Dashboard tools to produce detailed slides—ready for classroom collaboration.

We can't wait to discover the many ways HoloAnatomy software takes Universidad Del Norte to a whole new level of learning.
